The Memorial!

So…apparently Jesus doesn’t like presumptuous people.  We know this because we were NOT two blocks away from the memorial!  The street that the kingdom hall is on is “Rue de Faubourg”.  Our little “walk” from our apartment turn out to be running (in 3 inch heels mind you) to find the correct street because we couldn’t find it.  Well we ended up hailing down a taxi and he checked out the address and said “yeah, just walk two street down”. So we run “two street down” and the address is not matching up still.  So we hail another taxi and he examines the address and in a thick French accent says “Oh yes, there are THREE streets named Faubourg’s in Paris.  I drive you to the right one.”   It was a good drive across town.  We were 10 min late to the memorial!  Blasphemy!  We should’ve double checked but who knew.  It was so good to be there and we talked to people from all over the world and I love the truth!
Since we leave for Prague tomorrow and this would be our last chance to be in Paris at night, we took Jessica’s advice and visited the Eiffel Tower after the memorial.  Oh my goodness were we glad we did!  What a spectacular sight!  It’s so breathtaking it will actually move you to tears!  Jared was just bawling on my shoulder and I was like “Shhhh, it’s ok.”  Seriously, you can’t really explain it unless you’re there. Then at midnight the whole thing begins to shimmer and blink like glitter.  Beautiful-wish you were here.

  2. Wow you made me and your dad cry. And that's hard to do. Not really you know we are crybabies. So glad you made it to memorial. We are on our way to get Uncle D. It's such a special night and you got to be in Paris for it. How wonderful! Wasn't the twinkling tower spectacular. Onward hoe! Love you lots.

  3. So the other day, Teri said she was afraid that you guys wouldn't get to the memorial there because you didn't know where it was going to be. And then Bret said that's ridiculous not to worry because you had looked it up and it was really close. What are the chances? Apparently almost pretty good! Glad you made it there and to the Eiffel Tower. I have to get ready for our memorial now. Can't wait for Prague!

  6. Well I am a little sad you forgot to tell me about the blog.....Ok, I'm over it. So when Tanya told me about the blog I got right on to check it out. I have never really wanted to go anywhere outside the U.S. but you guys make it look and sound so wonderful. I must admit that when I am reading this I am not only laughing out loud but can totally hear you saying these things. I feel like you are sitting right here telling me. I miss you guys so much. Sad you would rather go to Europe for a month instead of coming to visit us again. But I guess I can see the draw to Paris. Laura you are an awesome blogster. Jess was also an awesome blogster. I was drawn in imediately. I can't believe you wouldn't go up and talk to Liv Tyler. When we saw Michael Buble, Tanya said if Laura were here she would go right up to him and ask to take a picture with him!

I will check it everyday and wish I was there with you guys.

Glad you made it to the Memorial. The lady sitting behind us at ours asked the elder if she should partake. He told her if she didn't know for sure then NO! She left and didn't wait for us to pass the wine..
    Miss you!!!

  13. Please post something new. Not only are people posting multiple comments on each post, but they are starting do things such as flipping over tables, punching walls, pulling out their hair, throwing pies in their own faces and typing run-on sentences. And by they I mean me.
